Frequently Asked Questions
Where will the conference be held?
The Conference centre is the AGSE Building corner John & Wakefield Streets at Swinburne University of Technology. (Hawthorn campus). This is the venue for all sessions. The campus is located adjacent to Glenferrie train station, a 10-minute ride from Melbourne's CBD. Train is the quickest way to and from the campus. Melbourne transport information is available from: http://ptv.vic.gov.au/

What are the travel and accommodation arrangements for people coming from interstate and overseas?
Participants will organise their own travel and accommodation. Participants may choose to stay near the Swinburne Hawthorn campus (there are several hotels near the campus, including the Glenferrie Hotel), but many will also find it convenient to stay in the CBD and travel to/from the conference venue each day. There are many hotels and hostels in the city centre, at all price points. Check out www.Wotif.com, www.Agoda.com and www.HostelWorld.com for a range of accommodation options.
A taxi from the airport to the CBD will cost approx $45. There is also a shuttle bus (www.skybus.com.au/) which cost $17 one way.
Is there any funding available for travel costs?
Unfortunately there are no bursaries or scholarships available.
What is included in the registration fee?
We aim to keep costs as low as possible for all participants. Lunches for the first and third day and the opening night reception are included in the price. We encourage participants to stretch their legs and explore the local area on the second day and seek their own lunch venue. We will provide suggestions of local eateries in the conference program.
